Rapid cell regeneration is the ability to regenerate cells at an increased rate, resulting in physical injuries healing much quicker than in standard humans. This ability is powerful enough to allow a bullet wound to heal in a matter of hours, though it usually isn't powerful enough to save the user from critical injuries.
Origin[]
This ability is present in proto-beast; one of them, at the age of 200 years, was able to heal a deep cut in the neck in a matter of seconds.
Muirfield's subjects were injected with genetically-engineered animal DNA that caused their bodies to evolve. One of the traits they received as a result is an augmented healing capability.
Limits[]
Regeneration does not work correctly if a foreign object obstructs the wound. There is one example of this limitation and knowledge thereof;
- Vincent Keller getting shot by Tess Vargas and having to remove the bullet before he could heal is an example of this.[1]
